Recruitment climb ‘extremely promising’

-

Recruitment consultant Badenoch & Clark has welcomed new research indicating that the number of job opportunities increased last month, claiming the findings bode well for the year ahead.

Dave Fleming – a sales director at the firm – acknowledged that January is traditionally an active time in terms of hiring, but asserted last month had seen companies across the country looking to attract talent.

“January’s rise in demand for staff is extremely promising,” he said. “As organisations now move towards focusing on long-term, sustainable growth, this is a trend we expect to increase.”

Mr Fleming added that the HR, finance, communications and marketing industries had been particularly eager to hire newcomers in recent weeks and there was a growing sense of optimism surrounding the UK employment market.
