Story 1: Research released by HMRC indicates that, by the end of June, over half a million people came off the furlough scheme as employer contributions were set to change at that time. Story 2: Recent research by Indeed showed some key problems which employers could be set to face as the scheme begins to wind down. Over two-fifths (41 per cent) of those still on furlough and over half of people (56 per cent) of people who are not currently in work are not searching for a new job.
