Govt’s apprenticeship scheme misses 250,000 target

The government’s Kickstart Scheme which has been paying businesses to help young people into 6 month apprenticeships since last September has cost £2bn. It has also been accused of not getting enough young people off Universal Credit. Companies have one month left to apply for the scheme.
