Taff Housing Association at home with MidlandHR’s iTrent

-

Cardiff-based Taff Housing Association has gone live having signed a five year contract with MidlandHR for a comprehensive HR and talent management solution using iTrent, MidlandHR’s single platform for talent management, workforce planning, HR and payroll. iTrent will be hosted in MidlandHR’s secure private cloud facility.

Taff Housing Association, which strives to be an employer of choice, has made the switch in order to support its long term strategic HR objectives and the continued improvement of its workforce management. The following iTrent modules have been successfully implemented: HR, Absence, and Employee and Manager Self-Service. The remaining talent management implementation, including Recruitment, Learning and Development and Performance Management will go live in a phased approach over the coming months.

Jane Evans, HR manager at Taff Housing, states: “It is our primary goal to be a provider, partner and employer of choice, we therefore required a system that would support us strategically and this was not possible with our previous solution. Routine tasks, such as creating reports for managers, were extremely difficult and time consuming and we were constantly duplicating work. iTrent allows us to focus on value-added activities as self-service reduces our administrative burden significantly.

“Taff cares deeply about our customer service and therefore we look forward to iTrent supporting our workforce planning which will underpin the management of Taff’s 1,200 homes and our supported housing projects. iTrent will provide us with much greater levels of flexibility and freedom, which will enable us to be more innovative in our service delivery,” Evans concludes.

MidlandHR’s managing director, Declan McGrath, explains: “Taff Housing Association has a fantastic reputation for taking care of its staff, as witnessed in the Great Place to Work awards where they ranked 1st in the Special Category Award for Health & Wellbeing and ranked 5th Best Workplace in the UK. Switching to a more strategic solution will enable the team to continue to improve their workforce management capability. Employees and managers will have direct access to current information and the management team will be able to manage performance and employee absence in real time. We are confident that iTrent will deliver huge improvement in process and workflow optimisation, as well as management information, which will help Taff achieve its strategic goals. MidlandHR currently supports a number of housing associations around the UK and we are proud to see this continue through our partnership with Taff Housing Association.”

Taff Housing Association was established in 1975 to purchase and renovate inner city houses that had fallen into disrepair. Today it is one of the leading providers and developers of affordable housing in Cardiff and manages over 1,250 good quality affordable homes for rent. It is also a major support provider, having secured contracts with a number of local authorities in South East Wales.
