CCLC: Emergency child care is becoming a mainstream employee benefit

-

A new relationship announced today between Portland-based CCLC® and London-based My Family Care will allow two major child care providers to share best practices on maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients, as well as cultivating and evaluating potential business initiatives – on both sides of the Atlantic. CCLC is a nationwide child care provider dedicated to high-quality employer-sponsored early childhood care and education, while My Family Care provides solutions that allow employees in the U.K. to manage their family care responsibilities with their work commitments.

“We are thrilled to build this international relationship with a company that shares many of the same values and commitments as we do at CCLC,” said Fran Durekas, founder and chief development officer for CCLC. “Our continued focus is and always will be providing high-quality child care and customized offerings for our clients and their employees – whether it’s in the U.S. or abroad. Our alliance with My Family Care aligns perfectly with this mission and will enhance the scope of service we can provide to clients to address their employee’s work life needs.”

“In today’s world there is no simple choice between work and family. With more dual career couples, more employees have care commitments, and supportive family services are critical to a company’s bottom line. If employers want to ensure a productive staff – to recruit, retain, engage them and address absenteeism head on – they need to help employees balance childcare with their work responsibilities.” Says Ben Black, My Family Care

In addition to common business goals shared by CCLC and My Family Care, the alliance also stems from an existing crossover between the two organizations. Knowledge Universe®, the parent company of CCLC, also owns Busy Bees, U.K.’s largest child care organization providing care and education to children birth to five years of age. My Family Care works regularly with Busy Bees to offer clients back-up child care in the U.K.
