More and more recruiters are turning to video to attract the best candidates, according to new research from Korn Ferry talent solutions company Futurestep.

The survey of over 700 executives found that 50 percent use video as a method of narrowing the pool of applicants, while 71 percent use real-time video interviewing.

Mir Ali, Futurestep’s vice president of global technology solutions, said:

“With the ease of use and availability of video, the options are limitless for creative and effective recruiting and hiring.

“For example on-demand allows candidates to complete video job applications at home, after work and at their own pace. Pre-loaded, pre-determined questions give recruiters and hiring managers a strong understanding of which candidates would fit a specific role and organisational culture.”
